APS Automatisierte Produktions-Systeme, based in Höchst on Lake Constance (Austria), is demonstrating its innovative strength in the field of 3D printing with leading technology solutions: continuous fiber CFF, FFF, print & place, pellets, multiple print heads, etc.
3D printing innovations from Lake Constance
Since its founding in 1986, APS Automatisierte Produktions-Systeme from Höchst (AT) has demonstrated its innovative strength with numerous world firsts and patents. With its authoritative solutions for additive manufacturing (e.g., “CFF” or “Print & Place”), it has also been setting the bar in the field of 3D printing for many years.
Processing of pellet materials
The integration of additional pellet print heads enables cost optimization, especially for larger components. This expands the range of materials that can be used and further increases suitability for industrial applications. Of course, multiple printing processes can be combined in a single component in the W2.0.
“Print & Place”
“With ‘Print & Place,’ we can integrate machine components or standard parts directly into the printed component, for example,” explains Bernd Lechner, senior technician at APS. Automatic feeders, including separation and tray feeders directly on the printing plate, enable self-sufficient manufacturing within a 3D printing system. Automated integration, e.g., of RFID tags, eliminates the need for manual loading and unloading. This saves time.
