The FreeScan Trak Nova is the ultimate multi-talent among 3D scanners. It can be used as a markerless tracking system with maximum resolution thanks to laser scanning, as a handheld laser 3D scanner, and its tracker can capture large objects on its own. And all of it wireless.
FreeScan Trak Nova from Shining 3D Metrology is an all-in-one laser 3D scanner system that leaves nothing to be desired and is extremely versatile in its application.
The system consists of the FreeScan UE Nova device, which is both a laser 3D scanner for large distances and large components (with a field of view of 2.6 m x 2.2 m) and a tracker for the TE Nova handheld laser 3D scanner.
FreeScan TE Nova can be used on its own as a laser 3D scanner, whereby it can orient itself using markers and the component geometry. In addition to the 50-lines mode for fast scanning, it also has a 7-lines mode for high-resolution partial scans and a single-line mode for holes and recesses.
In addition, it can also be used without markers by being tracked by the UE Nova, i.e. its position and orientation are monitored in real time. This tracking can also be done dynamically by the tracker orienting itself to markers applied on the scanned part or its surroundings. Using Video Photogrammetry, it reaches an accuracy of +/-0.046mm.
Both devices can be operated wirelessly using batteries; transmission to the scanning-PC is done through WiFi. However, it is also possible to work with power banks or a cable power supply.
