In addition to machining processes such as milling, turning, grinding, and wire erosion, BSF Bünter AG has also been offering additive manufacturing of metal since 2012 as one of the first service providers in Switzerland. With this process, known as 3D printing, geometries and contour-adjacent cooling channels that were previously thought impossible can be produced. Since the machines unfortunately cannot yet print the tightest tolerances and smoothest surfaces, mechanical post-processing is a very critical topic.
