In additive manufacturing, quality is no accident. Unlike traditional manufacturing processes, whose standards have developed over decades, additive manufacturing (AM) is still evolving and growing. Precisely for this reason, clear processes, defined responsibilities, and an understanding of the subtle but crucial difference between quality assurance and quality management are essential.
This presentation is inspired by experiences from the MedTech industry, where the highest demands are placed on product safety, reliability, and traceability. The story of the three little pigs illustrates this vividly: a solid foundation is crucial — only those who prioritize quality from the start can protect themselves from unexpected risks in the long run and achieve sustainable success.
